The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering companies which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed regarding the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted status sassa to service the area each day. The company level made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all prospects and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the website agency said.
